Elegant and beautiful two seat sofa with a maple frame, and a vertical striped fabric in green and beige motive. This settee is designed by the Italian Vittorio Valabrega in the 1920s. This piece has amazing detailing and is extremely graceful in design. Note the difference in the base, two cabriole legs in front, and the two saber legs at the back. The armrest is flowing and the side panels of the sofa have bannister style in maple.
Vittorio Valabrega (1861–1952) is an Italian furniture designer. He opened the "Valabrega Brothers" company in 1884. It became known for the production of fine-quality liberty-style furniture. Vittorio Valabrega became the owner of the company in the mid-1890s. His furniture designs are known for using exclusive materials and fine craftsmanship. His son Ernesto Valabrega followed his father’s footsteps.
