G. Fantinato for Febo Luce, 'Faro' floor Lamp, chrome-plated steel, Carrara marble, glass, Italy, 1970s

A striking floor lamp designed by Italian designer G. Fantinato, titled Faro, the Italian word for “lighthouse”. The composition is defined by clean architectural lines, featuring a slender upright structure anchored by a sculptural triangular base in Carrara marble. The adjustable cylindrical shade, fitted with pressed glass, casts a focused and atmospheric light while allowing the direction of illumination to be easily altered by moving the shade upward or downward. Both minimal and industrial in character, the design reflects a refined balance between utility and sculptural presence.
