Palle Suenson Dining Chair with Teak Seat
Palle Suenson for Fritz Hansen, dining chair, teak, beech, Denmark, 1940s.
Palle Suenson conceived this modern Windsor-style chair. The chairs are produced by Fritz Hansen in the 1940s under architectural supervision for the City Hall in Aarhus, Denmark. The gracefully arched backrest is formed by uniformly spaced slats, creating an airy aesthetic. This same curvature is mirrored in the intersecting supports between the legs. An exceptionally comfortable chair with a naturalistic appeal.
The chair is impressed with '1813180' to underside.
