Italian Pair of Easy Chairs in Red Velvet and Brass

These chairs are iconic examples of Italian design from the fifties. Organic and sculptural, these easy chairs are anything but minimalistic. Equipped with the original stiletto brass feet which are narrow conically tapered and therefore rest on a small end only, what makes the pieces seem to defy the laws of gravity and balance. Beautifully curved yet sharp rounded edges. The tufted back forms a beautiful curve which smoothly runs over into the armrests, and so do the upholstered buttons too. The seats are covered with Venetian red velvet and decorated with golden lace trims.

Please note that the item is in good, used condition. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier.
