De Sede, pair of armchairs, leather, steel, Switzerland, 1950s.
Pair of comfortable armchairs designed with chromed iron feet, which give the illusion that the seating floats. The thick back and seat cushion provide an excellent standard of comfort. The bulkiness of the black leather forms a nice constrast with the clean, sleek feet. The leather of the sofa is highly patinated which adds to the character and design of the chairs.
De Sede once started as a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Slowly, the company widened their Scope and committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company and their name was De Sede AG. DeSede products are detail-obsessed with the main focus on the people who own and use them. Therefore, all the DeSede items are made out of the best materials which results in durability and comfort.
Please note that the leather shows strong signs of wear and use and it partly ripped. Please don't hesitate to contact our design experts for more information.
