Designed by Massimo and Lella Vignelli for Poltronova in 1964, this exceptionally rare Saratoga dining or lounge set represents one of the least encountered models within the celebrated Saratoga series.

The off-white lacquered set is conceived as a composition of pure geometric forms. Broad, planar side panels define both the table and the armchairs, replacing conventional legs with monolithic volumes. The thick square tabletop, retaining its original glass surface, appears to float above the supporting elements, creating a subtle sense of lightness despite the substantial construction. The armchairs echo the same architectural language, with their rectilinear silhouette enclosing generously proportioned terracotta-coloured leather cushions. When the chairs are positioned beneath the table, the individual pieces interlock precisely, forming a single cubic volume. This sculptural quality reflects the Vignellis' pursuit of formal reduction, order and functional integration.
