Luigi C. Dominioni for Azucena Pair of Lounge Chairs in Leather
Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena, pair of lounge chairs, leather, metal, Italy, 1960s
This rare pair of cubist lounge chairs executed in brown leather are designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena. The design is characterized by geometrical, straight lines that are noticeable in the shape of the brown leather upholstery that underline the clear structured design. Moreover, this structure is also present on the chromed metal frame. Especially on the back, the frame shows an exquisite composition of vertical and horizontal lines crossing one another that are finished with round edges. Therefore, this pair can be placed in the middle of the room or away from the wall. This piece of furniture is designed to provide an ultimate level of comfort due to the thick seating cushions and the very deep, large seat showing some admirable patina.
