Leonardo Fiori for Isa Bergamo Sideboard in Stained Oak and Seagrass

Leonardo Fiori for ISA Bergamo, sideboard, stained oak, seagrass, metal, Italy, 1950s

Beautiful sideboard designed by Leonardo Fiori for ISA Bergamo. The combination of the intense dark stained oak and the refined woven seagrass results in an exotic and luxurious look. Two double doors structure the front of this rare piece. The doors feature seagrass inlays that add a natural touch to the cabinet. The lower left part of the cabinet contains four drawers with metal handles. Fiori placed the cabinet on a well-proportioned base that lifts up the piece in an architectural manner and shows wonderful lines and constructive highlights. Especially the combination of heights between the lower and higher part of the cabinet offer an interesting formation. Overall, an elegant monumental work that elevates every space.
