Kwok Hoi Chan for Steiner, set of six dining chairs, leather, lacquered steel, France, circa 1970

A postmodern design by Chinese designer Kwok Hoi Chan known for his works that are immediately recognizable. Design in the seventies was all about going beyond the strict conventions of modernism, with the exploration of the different qualities of materials, use of pop colors, and peculiar & symbolic appearances as outcome. The distinctive grey lacquered steel frame has an open structure comprised of undulating lines. The bulky shaped seats are executed in red leather. The captivating interplay of curved lines and bold shapes imbue the piece with a dynamic and visually compelling quality.

Please note that the leather shows some signs of wear and use. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
