Jordi Vilanova i Bosch’s Vidrà cabinet (1973) is defined by a strongly architectural and geometric composition. Constructed in walnut, the piece is organized as a vertical central core intersected by four projecting horizontal shelves, creating a rhythmic, layered structure that emphasizes both symmetry and balance. The cabinet’s mass is visually fragmented into stacked volumes, producing an interplay between solid and void that lightens its overall appearance. Another defining element are the sliding doors decorated with an intricate rectilinear parquetry pattern. The design reflects Vilanova’s interest in integrating traditional craftsmanship with a modernist touch.

Jordi Vilanova i Bosch (1925–1998) was a Catalan interior and furniture designer. Trained as a cabinetmaker, he later expanded his expertise into furniture design. In 1960, he founded the multidisciplinary group La Cantonada and was the founder and promoter of the Catalan arts magazine Art Questions (1967–1974).

During the 1960s and 1970s, Vilanova devoted much of his work to the design of children's furniture. From the 1970s onward, he undertook numerous interior design projects for commercial establishments, offices, banks, and private residences.
