Coffee table, beech, Italy, 1960s

This Italian coffee table combines a clean, architectural shape with an inventive, adaptable design. Its square beech frame is divided into four compartments fitted with removable elements, allowing the top to be rearranged as desired. These can be lifted out to reveal storage beneath or left open to create a varied composition.

The warm brown wood contrasts beautifully with the grey surfaces, while a fine horizontal line runs around the sides. Low square legs complete the balanced proportions. A thoughtful design that invites you to experiment with its arrangement.
