Hans Olsen Sofa in Black Leather and Teak
Hans Olsen for Brande Brande Møbelfabrik, leather, teak, Denmark, circa 1960
This leather four seat sofa is designed by the Dane Hans Olsen for Brande. The sofa is executed in black leather that has beautifully patinated over the years. The sofa has a clean, modest aesthetic with warm wooden accents. The armrests bend slightly outwards and complement the deep black leather wonderfully. Hans Olsen, a student of Kaare Klint and a member of a design school characterized by its commitment to clean, solid lines, established his independent design studio in 1953.
