Stunning and sizable modular sofa designed by Hans Hopfer for Neue Wiener Werkstätte. This grand sofa exists of various Tetris-shaped pieces, reupholstered in a beautiful, soft neutral toned fabric. Design in the seventies was all about going beyond the strict conventions of modernism, with the exploration of the different qualities of materials, use of colors, and peculiar shapes and proportions. In the design world of the 1970s, it was commonplace to see sectional sofas featuring a soft, bulky layout and rendered in vibrant colors. Due to the many differently shaped pieces, the possibilities of arranging the pieces are endless. Maximum comfort is guaranteed by means of the thick seating cushions and the large seats.
