Hans Eichenberger for Girsberger Modular Sofa in Black Leather

Sale price$2,950.00

Hans Eichenberger for Girsberger, modular sofa model ‘Eurochair’, leather, chromed steel, Switzerland, 1970s

This sofa is created by the Swiss designer Hans Eichenberger whose designs can be admired in several permanent design collections, such as in MoMA and Vitra Design Museum. This sectional sofa is well-designed featuring striking lines and shapes. The seat is tufted in a vertical manner creating more visual interest. The presence of the armrests are slightly bent outwards and makes it possible to lay down your arms comfortably. The body rests on sleek legs executed in chromed steel that contributes to the sofa’s simplistic and airy appearance.
Please note that the leather contains visible wear. Reupholstery or restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery or restoration is possible as well.
