Sale price$5,450.00

Hans Brattrud for Hove Mobler, lounge chair model 'Scandia' in teak and metal, Norway, circa 1957.

This chair was part of the Scandia series, designed by Norwegian designer Hans Brattrud and produced by Hove Mobler. The chair is executed in bent teak and steel. The seating consists of curved and bent slats of teak plywood. Through this combination, an elegant and modern lounge chair in warm wood is created. This slatted chair shows an interesting 'hairpin' frame of bent metal. Combined by horizontal cross-connections to keep the slats in place and form. The warm colors of wood combine beautifully with the patinated metal frame.
