This tall oak cabinet by Giuseppe Rivadossi is defined by its broad, rounded frame, which curves around the glazed upper section. The generous sweep of wood gives the piece a sculptural presence, while the glass doors and open view through the back keep it surprisingly light. Wooden shelves provide space to display books, ceramics or glassware.

Below, three drawers form a simple horizontal band above two doors with an intricate carved grid. Their small openings and angled surfaces bring texture and depth to the solid oak base. Made by Officina Rivadossi around 1980, the cabinet brings together display and storage in a form that is unmistakably Rivadossi.

Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962 Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
