This tall cabinet by Italian sculptor and designer Giuseppe Rivadossi demonstrates his distinctive approach to woodworking. The narrow architectural form is softened by a masterfully shaped frame that curves elegantly around the top, while the pronounced grain of the oak gives the piece a warm and natural character. The upper section features two glazed doors with wooden shelves, offering ample space for displaying glassware, books or art objects. Below, smaller glazed compartments transition into a richly carved wooden section with geometric panels, square openings and projecting details. As the back is also executed in glass, the cabinet is designed to stand freely and is particularly well suited for placement in the centre of a room. Measuring 253 cm / 99.6 inches in height, this piece impresses through its design, materiality and considerable scale.

Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962 Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
