Giuseppe Rivadossi Night Stands in Oak
Giuseppe Rivadossi, night stands, oak, glass, Italy, 1960s
Outstanding night stands or cabinets by the Italian sculptor and designer Giuseppe Rivadossi, featuring a high level of craftsmanship in woodwork. The night stands show squared shapes throughout the design and feature glass doors, making them very suitable for displaying books or cherished personal belongings.
Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962 Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
