Giuseppe Rivadossi for Officina Rivadossi, set of eight dining chairs, oak, Italy, 1970s

These remarkable chairs by Italian sculptor and artisan Giuseppe Rivadossi showcase exceptional woodworking craftsmanship. Crafted from premium oakwood, they feature sturdy frames with intricate joinery that provides both durability and decorative appeal. The gently curved seat offers comfort, while the rich oak tones and striking grain patterns highlight the natural beauty of the wood.

Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962, Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
