Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti Dining Table with Sculptural Base

Sale price$11,700.00

Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti, dining table, cast aluminum, glass, wood, Italy, 1970s

This sculptural dining table is designed by Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti in the seventies. The meticulously crafted base features two concave-shaped frames made of cast aluminum, defined by vertically-structured plates that create a captivating graphic play. The stability of the construction is ensured by means of a wooden beam placed between the frames. The rectangular polished glass top provides a clear view of the captivating base beneath it. Giovanni Offredi clearly created a postmodern design that breathes the characteristics of Italian design of the seventies.

Please note that the border of the glass contains a large chip, and the top surface shows scratches. Restoration can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer.
