Console or hall table, walnut, natural stone, France, 1930s
This elegant French table features an elongated marble top with softly rounded corners and beautiful veining in shades of beige, cream and brown. A layered wooden border follows the outline of the stone, adding depth to its slender profile. The curved legs end in sculpted scroll feet, decorated with carved circular motifs. These expressive details give the table a distinctive character, balanced by the simplicity of its top. Its height makes it a lovely occasional table beside a sofa or a console for displaying objects.
