Eileen Gray Pair of 'Roquebrune' Dining Chairs in Red Leather
Eileen Gray, pair of 'Roquebrune' chairs, chrome-plated steel, red leather, France, design 1927, later production
Sleek pair of roquebrune chairs designed by Eileen Gray. The frame is made out of polished chromium plated tubular steel. Eileen Gray herself said that this design started as an exercise using various methods for jointing steel; mitre welded steel tube at different angles, bent tube, flat bar welded to steel tube, and different diameter steel tubes welded together. The slender yet elegant design of the frame is complimented by the red leather of the seat and backrest. This design is modern and can be used in any interior thanks to its Minimalist design.
Please note that these items are in good, used condition. The leather shows some signs of wear, such as scratches. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
