De Sede Lounge Chair in Camel Leather
De Sede lounge chair, model 'S231', patinated leather, chromed metal, Switzerland, 1960s
This lovely and stylish chair is based on a solid construction featuring a large backrest and deep seat which offers great comfort to the sitter. The designer decided to stay modest with decoration by implementing leather lace and leather web, which is a similar pattern seen in a baseball glove. De Sede placed the corpus on a five-star base that allows the user to rotate the chair in a desired position. The ottoman that is included features the same leather web characteristics as the armchair. The large surface gives the user the possibility to rest the legs in a relaxing and comfortable way.
De Sede once started as a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Slowly, the company widened their scope and committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company and their name was De Sede AG. De Sede products are detail-obsessed and are completely made and focused on the people who use them. Therefore, all the DeSede items are made out of the best materials which results in durability and comfort.
