Danish Sofa in Off-White Decorative Upholstery
Sofa, fabric, wood, Denmark, 1950s.
This sofa has all the flair and vitality of a typical Danish mid-century furniture piece. This particular design invites you to spend more time on it due to its imposing, high backrest which is slightly tilted. A nice detail is how the back smoothly runs over into the armrests, developing in a round shape on both ends, which makes it possible to lay down your arms comfortably. The sleek wooden legs lift the sofa up in a graceful manner. The fabric visualizes flora and fauna motifs and is surrounded by olive green stitching. Overall, the style is simple and understated, where clean, fluent lines are allowed to emerge in the design.
Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This item contains some threadbare upholstery with loose seams and stains. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
