Robert Haussmann for De Sede, sofa model RH-302, metal, red upholstery, Switzerland, design 1954

This comfortable sofa is designed by Robert Haussmann for De Sede and features a chromed frame that functions as a basket for the cushions. The thick seating cushions provide an excellent standard of comfort. The red color of the upholstery forms a striking combination with the clean, steel outer frame.

De Sede once started as a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Slowly, the company widened their Scope and committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company and their name was De Sede AG. De Sede products are detail-obsessed and are completely made and focussed on the people who use them. Therefore, all the DeSede items are made out of the best materials which results in durability and comfort.

Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsman in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
