Biosca Spanish Sideboard in Stained Pine

Biosca, sideboard, stained pine, Spain, 1960s.

Outstanding Spanish sideboard that is executed by Biosca in a beautiful way. The door panels feature a relief surface of graphic carved figures, alternating between rectangular and square shapes. This is very typical for Brutalist style, while the type of pattern has references to Neoclassicism interiors. This piece belongs to the popular Arts & Crafts movement. The credenza is made of solid pine and offers plenty of storage comprised of shelves and two drawers installed on the outer sides. The sturdy legs provide a floating appearance to the corpus.
