This timeless, softly contoured sofa embodies understated elegance through its graceful curves and minimalist design. The seat is set atop a rich walnut platform, supported by elegant, tapered legs. The frame extends beyond the upholstery to create seamlessly integrated end tables on either side.
Adrian Pearsall (1925-2011), trained as an architectural engineer, was a sailor and interior designer. In 1952, Pearsall opened his own furniture company 'Craft Associates’. Pearsall designed some of the most sensuous, gracious midcentury design pieces around, sharing many of the design aesthetics by Vladimir Kagan. His pieces are characterized by flamboyant curves, upswept shapes and stretched proportions.
