1930s French Art Deco Set of Six Dining Chairs in Mahogany

With their round backrest this set of six French dining chairs catches the eye. Carved rings emphasize the circular form and create a rhythmic relief. But not only the backrest shows the high-quality craftsmanship. More carved details on the frame structure the surface and the visual quality of the chair. Stained mahogany emphasizes the grand appearance of this set that is currently upholstered with red leatherette. Brass nails keep it in place and highlight the Art Deco character of the chairs. These beautiful chairs are attributed to the French architect, interior designer, and cabinetmaker Étienne Kohlmann.

Please note that these chairs are in good, used condition. Signs of age and use are visible on the framework and leatherette. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier.
