Art Deco Revival Round Dining Table in Mahogany

Sale price$13,800.00

Dining table, mahogany, mahogany, Europe, 1960s

This 1960s Art Deco inspired table, crafted from mahogany wood, is a strong example of how this style combined elegance with bold geometry. The table’s round top grabs one’s attention through its large, wide, and sharply defined layout. Every element, from the seamless joinery to the precision of its decorative features, reflects a maker deeply skilled in both woodworking technique and the stylistic language of the movement. The surface is meticulously inlayed, forming four triangular quadrants. The edge of the tabletop features horizontally-lined carvings, adding texture and refinement. The base takes center stage with its more sculptural and complex configuration. At the center, the main support is a thick, squared column, solid and upright, acting as the structural and visual anchor. Four thick supports extend outward horizontally, each terminating in curled feet composed of layered, slim wooden ribs that continue vertically along the central pillar.

The mahogany type of this piece does not require an export license.
