Tearsheet
Pair of armchairs oak, velvet, France, 1950s.

These beautifully designed lounge chairs hold a striking construction by means of the sculpted elements discernible in the wooden frame. The armrests are characterized by curved, strong lines with spherical endings. The backrest is supported by elongated slats combined with an intricate, carved crest rail that shows upward pointing ears. The seating is upholstered in Bordeaux red fabric with lines that flourish across the surface. Overall, this pair of armchairs conceals an evolved provincial character with great quality of elegance.

Please note that these chairs are in good, used condition. The fabric shows some signs of wear and use. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
