Ole Wanscher and A.J. Iversen, set of chairs, mahogany, fabric, Denmark, 1940s

This elegant set of dining chairs, including both side chairs and armchairs, was designed by Ole Wanscher and crafted by master cabinetmaker A.J. Iversen in Denmark during the 1940s. Executed in finely grained mahogany, the chairs reflect Wanscher’s refined approach to form, proportion and craftsmanship. The gently curved backrests are distinguished by a geometric lattice pattern, lending the chairs both lightness and structure. Wanscher's collaboration with Iversen represents one of the most esteemed partnerships in 20th century Danish design. This set exemplifies their shared dedication to traditional craftsmanship and modern elegance.
