Sale price£11,699.84

Mario Marenco for Mobil Girgi, set of six dining chairs model ‘Sapporo’, walnut, black leather, Italy, 1970s

Beautiful set of six dining chairs in walnut and black leather designed by Mario Marenco in the 1970s. These chairs feature wonderful backrests, consisting of two vertical slats distanced from each other. At the bottom and top these are connected, which results in its sculptural appearance. The front legs are straight and build up from two flat pieces. The color of the walnut frame is deep and warm which accompanies the brown leather seats very well. This design reminds of Scarpa's 'Africa' chairs and the designs of Pierre Cardin, yet the set is featuring its own unique design.

Please note that these chairs are in good, used condition and show signs of wear and use common for their age. For further information we kindly ask you to reach out to our design specialists.
