Giuseppe Rivadossi for Officina Rivadossi, oak, Italy, 1970s
A masterful expression of Italian craftsmanship, this exceptional oak dining table was designed by Giuseppe Rivadossi and handcrafted by Officina Rivadossi. Celebrated for his sculptural approach to woodworking, Rivadossi transforms solid oak into an architectural composition where every joint, proportion, and surface reflects a profound respect for the material. The distinctive trestle base lends the table a quiet monumentality, balancing strength with refined simplicity. Crafted entirely from solid oak, its rich grain and hand-finished texture reveal the unmistakable character of artisanal production.
Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962, Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
