Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti, set of four 'Sail' dining chairs, plastic, fabric, Italy, 1973

This exceptional design known as Sail by Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti reflects the designer’s interest in clean, purposeful geometry softened by ergonomic contour. The interplay of concave and convex surfaces creates a body-responsive form without compromising the chair’s graphic clarity. Each chair is defined by a distinctive curvature that appears to lift the seat into a poised, forward-leaning gesture, reminiscent of a sail catching wind. The form is built around a dynamic interaction between two key elements: the sweeping arc of the front leg and the compact, inward-curving backrest.

Kindly note that we have four more of these chairs in our current stock, with different upholstery. Making a matching set of eight would be possible to realize in our in-house atelier.

These chairs are in good, used condition and show signs of wear and use common for their age.
