Sale price£1,075.20

Eugenio Gerli for Tecno, dining chair, model S83, moulded teak plywood, Italy, design and production 1962

A delicate chair model S83 designed and produced by Eugenio Gerli for Tecno in 1962. The backrest and seat are executed in moulded teak plywood, and further supported by finely carved tapered feet with a polished black finish.

Tecno was founded in 1953 by Osvaldo and Fulgenzio Borsani. The core idea upon which the company was born is the concept of dwellings that function as the foundation on which the quality of life is built. Although Tecno was led by functionalism, aesthetics has never been unimportant. The office world experience had an extreme growth in postwar Italy, and it was mainly to this world that Tecno dedicated their innovative design and craftsmanship.
