Tearsheet
Berga Mobler, armchair, Pierre Frey Teddy mohair fabric, beech, Denmark, 1940s

This bold and curvy armchair is based on a solid construction with a tender touch due to the soft texture of the teddy fabric. The whole shell is slightly tilted backwards. The corpus rests on four small beech legs that bend outwards and are slightly tapered and ornate. The armrests, seat and shell are all thick and provide the human body with great support. The bold, round design of this piece of furniture combined with the frivolous legs make it both specific for Danish design as well as contemporary in its appearance.
