Rare and monumental Italian double bed made in the 1970s. This 'Boomerang' bed made by manufacturer Benatti and shows all characteristics of design in the post-modern era of furniture design. Sculptural, soft, and beautiful: this bed is so easy to love and relate to. The the sides of the bed are made in strongly curved lacquered wood. The immense head and foot board are made in a dark burgundy leather, and show a beautiful and thick round cushion, that has stitching creating a bolster shaped bedstead. The slatted base for the matras is placed a little lower between the curved sides and voluminous leather head and footboard, creating an optically pleasing floating appearance and also a very cosy space to sleep. Comfort and beauty come together in this spectacular design.

Playful and stylish curved pair of nightstands, created by Italian manufacturer Benatti in the 1960s. The striking cabinet is kidney-shaped and finished in high gloss black lacquer. These eye-catching bedside pieces feature two curved doors. The manufacturer, known for its functional and high quality pieces of furniture captured the innovative Pop Art spirit in furniture design of the 1960s.

Please note that these items are in good, used condition. The lacquer on the bed and nightstands needs restoring. For the leather we advise reupholstery.
