1950s Lounge Chair with Wing-Shaped Ears and Curved Armrests

Sale price£2,211.44

Lounge chair, oak, fabric, brass, Europe, 1950s

Charming 1950s lounge chair defined by its sweeping curves and embracing silhouette. The back rises gracefully before folding forward into two sculptural wings, creating a sheltered, intimate space around the sitter. Its generous proportions are softened by flowing lines, giving the chair a character that feels both stately and inviting.

Most expressive are the curved wooden armrests, which appear to flow effortlessly along the upholstered body. Their continuous, ribbon-like shape introduces an elegant rhythm and beautifully frames the muted red fabric. Small brass studs trace the undulating edges, emphasizing the chair’s sinuous profile.

Kindly note that the fabric is in good, used condition. Your special requests regarding reupholstery and finishing can be realized by the experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration and upholstery atelier.
