Elegant and simplistic sizable table by Arne Vodder for Sibast. This large conference table has an impressive size with its 16 ft in length. The table consists of a boat shaped top supported by eight circular legs executed in a subtle and modest way. The table has an open look and is structurally supported by means of horizontal beams. This table convinces visually through an utterly well-balanced look combined with a graphical wooden surface featuring expressive grains that is very convincing and pleasing to the eye. Due to its size, this grand table provides plenty of space for a decent amount of people to sit around.

Arne Vodder (1926-2009) should be named among the most influential Scandinavian Midcentury designers, although he is not as well-known as for instance Hans Wegner or Arne Jacobson. Once a student of famous furniture designer Finn Juhl at Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, who later became his friend and business partner. Vodder started out as an architect who designed low-cost housing, later on, he began designing furniture. Although his designs are anything but low-quality, his aim for functional design that could be used by all remained important. He designed amongst others for Fritz Hansen & Sibast.
