Wingback Lounge Chairs with Oak Frame
Low wingback chairs, oak and fabric, Czech Republic, 1950s. Sturdy armchairs that features low wing backrests. The chairs are from late Art Deco period, as they show its distinctive characteristics, such as the thick seat and the sculpted oak frame. The stained oak armrests are organically shaped, wide at the top and tapered towards the legs. They give the the sturdy appearance of the upholstery and light touch. The oak is in good, patinated condition. The fabric shows signs of age and use and reupholstery is necessary.
