Willy Van Der Meeren, set of 14 chairs, steel and wood, Belgium, 1957.

This set of Industrial Belgian chairs is designed by the Belgian designer Willy Van Der Meeren. The exceptional elements of these chairs is the fact that they are made of solid carved wood. Something that was hardly done in chairs of this Industrial type. These chairs are therefore exceptionally strong and durable. The tubular frame is also bent and supports the sitter in a strong manner.

Willy Van Der Meeren (1923-2002) was a Belgian architect and furniture designer. A true modernist with a high social commitment. His designs are characterized by a modern approach and simplicity in forms and materials.
