Warren Platner for Knoll Sideboard in Oak and Brown Leather
Warren Platner for Knoll, sideboard, leather, oak, chrome-plated metal, United States, after 1973.
This sturdy office sideboard is designed by the American modernist Warren Platner. He is mostly known for his airy metal, sculptural lounge chairs. In a way it is surprising this sideboard was also designed by Platner. This sideboard is part of an executive collection for high-end office spaces. The piece has two chrome-plated metal legs and a top with oak edge. The sideboard has two doors that can be opened and one open shelf, providing great storage space.
Warren Platner (1919-2006) was an American architect who also designed interiors and furniture. In his early years Platner worked for the architect Eero Saarinen. Platner is famous for his refined and theatrical designs and he did not shy away for color.
Please note that the key of this sideboard is missing. The leather shows signs of wear and use. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
