This heavy, sturdy credenza is designed by the American modernist Warren Platner. He is most known for his airy metal, sculptural lounge chairs. Perhaps it is surprising that this sideboard also from his hand. The difference is explained by the fact that this sideboard belongs to the executive collection for high-end office spaces. The low-board has two chrome-plated metal legs and a long top with oak edge and dark black leather finishing. The sideboard has six sections of cabinets featuring eight doors.
Warren Platner (1919-2006) was an American architect who also designed interiors and furniture. In his early years Platner worked for the architect Eero Saarinen. Platner is famous for his refined and theatrical designs and he did not shy away for color.
