Wall wood mounted walnut cabinet, carved plant decoration, attributed to Oscar Nilsson, Sweden, circa 1950s.

These unique cabinets have a particular feature, two beautifully hand-carved floral patterns that cover on each side of the doors. The plant resembles the devil's tale or mile-a-minute which is a species of flowering plant in the buckwheat family. The cabins are made with different planks of wood. The solid constructive quality and modest feel and natural aesthetics that we are used to in Danish design. The inside of the cabinet has two shelves and on the bottom there is a thin drawer. Both the iconography and the rounded finish of the brass joints is typical for Oscar Nilsson.
