Vittorio Nobili for Tagliabue 'Medea' Dining Chairs in Mahogany

$1,650.00

Vittorio Nobili for Tagliabue, dining chairs model 'Medea', mahogany, metal, brass, Italy, 1955.

This 'Medea' chair is designed by the Italian designer Vittorio Nobili. The plywood chairs are veneered in carefully chosen mahogany, which gives them their warm appearance. The mahogany shows an admirable grain which gives these chairs even more character. The shell of the seat is bent with a gap in the middle, which gives the unit a certain lightness and creates a lively yet simplistic character. Vittorio Nobili won the Industrial Design Award Compasso d’Oro in 1956 for this particular design.
