Vittorio Introini for Saporiti Pair of 'Larissa' Lounge Chairs in Velvet
Vittorio Introini for Saporiti, pair of 'Larissa' lounge chairs, velvet, chrome-plated acrylic, chrome-plated steel, Italy, 1969
Bulky and sturdy set of two 'Larissa' lounge chairs designed by Vittorio Introini for Saporiti in a chromed acrylic and golden velvet upholstery. The pieces feature an acrylic shell that is hold together by decorative, chromed joints. The large cushions make sure these chairs are highly comfortable and they are also a pleasure to look at due to the mix of materials used and color combinations.
Vittorio Introini (born 1935) was an Italian Post-war designer. He started designing furniture around the 1960s, being mostly inspired to create international and antihistorical artworks. Moreover, the importance of spatiality and architectural elements is well represented in the work of Introini. These features are also visible in the desk. The designer’s ambition to create an international and avant-garde style was eventually possible when he was able to collaborate with Saporiti Company.
Please note that these items are in good, used condition. The chrome exhibits some wear. The pillows are worn down due to many years of use and therefore we advise reupholstery before use. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
