Vittorio Introini for Saporiti, free-standing cabinets, walnut, glass, metal, Italy, 1960s
This design by Vittorio Introini allows you to adjust the arrangement of the four modules to your own liking. They can be places against a wall or be used as free-standing elements. Each module features a different, expressive grain. The front is a vivid play of glass and wooden textures. The four cabinets feature a wonderful combination of materials. Each cabinet is divided into two sections. One is made of walnut, the other is a glass door. Three cabinets feature one wooden door and one glass door. The fourth cabinet is different in the way that is has four drawers instead. Typical trait of Introini are the special handles he uses for his designs. Two rings on a slim metal line are his trademark and also highlight the doors and drawers of this piece. Also, the metal hinges of the doors and metal highlights on the base complement the design.
