Vico Magistretti for Artemide, 'Triclinio' chandelier, opaline glass, metal, Italy, 1967

'Triclinio' pendant lamp by Vico Magistretti. This lamp developed out of the 'Clinio' lamp of 1967. Magistretti designed the model Triclinio (1961) further to the Pentaclinio and the Eptaclinio, which is the largest lamp with seven shades. The shades are made out of opaline glass that is frosted on the inside and surrounding a large lightbulb. They are held by a matted metal mount that is keeping visually in the background.
