Vico Magistretti for Artemide ‘Pentaclinio’ Chandelier in Opaline Glass
Vico Magistretti for Artemide, chandelier model ‘Pentaclinio’, matt nickel-plated brass, opaline glass, Italy, 1967
This charming chandelier features five intricate shades in opaline glass placed in the shape of a pentagon, hence the name ‘penta’. This version is part of the series called Clinio created by Vico Magistretti. Other models included are Eptaclinio and Triclinio, to name a few. The composition of shades is suspended by a matt nickel-plated brass fixture that beautifully matches with the white opaline, resulting in a sleek and minimalistic look. The opaline absorbs the light in a sophisticated way creating a wonderful, atmospheric light partition.
