Verner Panton Panthella for Louis Poulsen
Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen, acrylic, metal, Thee 'Panthella's', Italy, design 1971, production later
This elegant lamp by Verner Panton is one of his more popular designs. The idea behind this light is that both base and shade act as a reflector since the light from the light source shines on the base too. The source is hidden under an opaline semicircle shade. The pedestal base forms an unobstructed foot and gives the shade enough room to stand out and gives this Classic a balanced, elegant look and feel.
